In this class you will learn to turn a small lidded box. You will learn basic woodturning techniques and each student will make a wooden lidded box that they can take home.
The skills you will learn include.
- Rough turning a blank
- Turning a tenon so the blank can be placed in a chuck.
- Hollowing techniques for inside the box
- How to fit the lid
- Sanding on lathe
- Finishing techniques on the lathe
This is beginners class and no prior woodturning experience is required.
