Basic Box Making for Beginners

This class is project based. In this class you’ll use the table saw (with the miter & spline sleds); drum, belt, & orbital sanders, router (with chamfer & round nose bit), band saw, & drill press.

You will learn how to use various pieces of woodworking equipment in the process of constructing a beautiful lidded box. In this class you will learn techniques for making a small box using mitered corners with decorative with splines and how to achieve a perfect fit for the lid.

You will then learn how to apply a beautiful oil finish to your box. Finally, you will engrave your name in the bottom of your finished project.
