Box Making & Laser Inlay - Hinged Bracelet Box

The result of this class will be a highly finished small bracelet box with an inlayed top, black velvet insert, and felt pads.

This class is project based. In this class you’ll use the table saw (with the dado blade); drum, belt, spindle, & orbital sanders, router (with chamfer & barb saw bit), epilog laser, beale polishing wheels, & band saw.

Learn box making skills while making a beautiful hinged box. In this class you will learn techniques for making a small box, you will learn how to add barbed hinges, and using the Epilog Laser Engraver you will decorate the lid of the box with an inlay design, first cutting a cavity in the lid with the laser then cutting veneer used to fill the cavity.

You will then learn how to apply a beautiful oil finish to your box. Using the Epilog laser, you will cut the insert that will finish the inside of your box. Finally, you will engrave your name in the bottom of your finished project, and put felt pads on the bottom.
