Properly shaped and sharpened tools not only make woodturning more enjoyable but safer.
This class is intended for the beginning wood turner who isn’t sure how to shape or grind woodturning tools and which grinders or jigs to buy. It is also applicable for experienced turners who are having problems with sharpening tools. All students are encouraged to bring their own tools, grinding jigs, and grinders. If you have your own setup then you can go home with setup blocks and all sharpened tools. There will be a set of tools and two grinders with Wolverine and Tru-Grind jigs available for those students without their own.
.
This class will cover the following topics:
Grinders - recommend 8" with variable speed.
Grinding wheels - 1" x 8" made for HSS
